As a watercolour artist, I spend many hours walking the public footpaths of the UK in search of raw material for my paintings. I like to travel light; location-sketches are produced on A4 sketchpads with a 2B pencil, from which I develop my watercolours in the comfort of the studio. This leaves plenty of room in my rucksack for a flask and sandwiches. Since my professional activities are almost entirely motivated and governed by a love of the great outdoors, I decided it would be rather nice to present, to the world at large, a log of my sketching trips from my own personal perspective.
The site will be updated regularly, particularly the Walking Blog of my adventures. Time permitting, detailed descriptions of selected walks will also be added as I devise them, featuring maps and photos to help you
discover them for yourself should you wish.
